Ο Βάσος Κανέλλος (Βασίλειος Κανελλόπουλος) (1895-1985) γεννήθηκε στα Φιλιατρά Τριφυλίας. Ολοκλήρωσε τις εγκύκλιες σπουδές του στην Αθήνα. Το 1915 γνώρισε την Isadora Duncan και γράφτηκε στη σχολή χορού που διατηρούσε στο σπίτι της στο Βύρωνα. Συνέχισε τις σπουδές του στο Παρίσι (με τον Michel Fokine) και στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες (σχολές Καρσλώφ και Μότκιν).

Vassos Kanellos (Vassilios Kanellopoulos) (1895-1985) was born in Filiatra Trifylias in Peloponnesos. He completed his studies in Athens. In 1915 he met Isadora Duncan and enrolled in a dance school that had at her home in Byron. He continued his studies in Paris (with Michel Fokine) and in the United States (at schools Karslof and Motkin). In the United States he began his professional career in the period 1919-1920, with appearances in Brooklyn and New York.
